Feng is hit by Language's copy of Luna, but manages to survive the attack. Realizing that Feng is a fast learner and that he too is a threat to the Master Rules' plan, Language then realizes that he too must be killed alongside Ichico Nemuri so that the Negators cannot learn the secrets of souls. Feng is about to launch another attack, but Language tells him that he can't: if he wants to fight again, he will have to follow the Shiritori rules and use another word in the next turn. In front of Luna, the peak of spiritual strength, and in front of Sun, the peak of physical strength, Language asks what words they will use in that turn, and Nico also asks himself the same question. Feng then asks Nico to use the word "Medicine" (薬 (くすり) , kusuri?) to heal him, so that he can continue attacking the copies of the two gods. Ichico, however, opposes his decision: even if the replicas of the two deities are incomplete, they are still too strong to be defeated by a single human soul. Her plan involves her and Feng sacrificing their lives so that Unforgettable can manifest, so that Nico can then use the Shiritori rules to bring them back to life. Although Nico argues that it is too risky, Feng shouts that dying will make him understand his soul even more, thus making him stronger. Ichico's soul then "talks" to Nico, taking human form and telling him not to worry, finally admitting her feelings for him. As the eighth round begins, Feng then uses "Kuon Shinkon-Ha" (Eternal True Soul Wave) while at the same time Ichico summons Apocalypse, with Language responding by having Luna and Sun attack with the swords Excalibur and Balmung respectively. The two attacks disintegrate Ichico and Feng, while Nico watches in horror as Apocalypse floods his mind with memories of the previous cycle thus awakening Unforgettable. Seeing that Nico has finally manifested it, Language says that she has fallen in love with him once again, but Nico responds with "Sorry! I'm already taken!"
