Summary of Survival of the Fittest

As Fuuko and Julia travel to Brazil, the latter sees a shooting star similar to the one that guided the Union to her. However, Fuuko internally realizes its not one of the Soul Bullets, but something else. Julia then asks Fuuko what Negators are, using Sean as an example of how Negator abilities result in the user losing something important to them. Julia then comforts Fuuko after she reveals her own tragedy, stating it was because she was randomly chosen to bear Unluck. While Fuuko thanks her for the kind words, she reveals that after looping, she's come to understand why they are given Negator abilities. Before Fuuko can explain what she means, they are interrupted by Top, who is running around the village stealing everything in sight, including Julia's wallet. This is despite the fact his bones should be breaking as a result of his Negator ability. Just then, Haruka appears and tries to capture the thief. However, Top manages to escapes, while thanking her for the shoes that allowed him another "huge haul". Later, Haruka explains that Top's interpretation of "Unstoppable" has changed, now being able to stop himself by breaking something with a kick without any negative side effects to himself. When Fuuko asks if Top is in track and field, Haruka explains that she managed to prevent Top's tragedy, but he still quit the sport because his mother caught a contagious diseases, the townspeople driving them out as a result. Top attempts to give the money he stole to his sick mother, but she refuses, not wanting her son to be "a beast". However, Top refuses, and states that he'll gladly become a "beast" as he refuses to follow the rules that forced them into this situation. As Top hunts for food and talks about how he prefers the simple world of beasts, Fuuko appears and challenges him to a fight. After managing to read his movements and knocking him into a branch, Top kicks Fuuko with his speed as Unluck and Unstoppable begin to battle it out.
