Summary of Bankara

Fuuko, Nico, Gina, and Rip are in New York following the success of the Sick Quest (Apocalypse had decided to count it as a victory for the Negators due to Move's interference), which earned them Unburn's location. They walk to a discover a popular ramen shop, where Fuuko and Gina get huge bowls of ramen. Nico initially gets a regular bowl, but becomes addicted to it and asks for the same size as the girls. Just then, an angry customer holds the chef due to finding a cockroach in his food and demands a refund. The chef then punches him, stating that regardless of money or personal character, "if you're not ready to face death, [he] ain't letting you eat [his] ramen". The chef turns out to be Enjin. It turns out Fuuko had eaten his food before in the last loop while she was a part of Under (by proxy, as Rip actually made it due to Enjin's Unburn). However, she also states that compared to before, his current ramen lacked "something", mainly in the broth. Enjin claims that he had traveled the world to prefect his ramen, the "Bankararamen - Hooligan Blood Ramen". However, Fuuko insists that his previous self did manage to surpass it, making her a ramen fanatic for a century. Enjin then realizes Fuuko is "The Red Cap of Good Luck", said to bring prosperity to ramen shops that she complimented for eternity. Enjin decides to believe Fuuko's words of a recipe surpassing his current one, seeing her eyes as someone who has survived countless run-in with death (unaware of it actually being the case). A flashback to the last loop reveals that he made his Bankararamen for someone else, but is long gone now, stating that them eating it now is the best way to mourn them. Fuuko, wanting to pass Enjin's previous self's recipe and dispel his regrets, then decide to have a cooking competition. While Nico protests, Enjin agrees to the duel, stating he is "an idiot that speaks in ramen". The duel is then set in three day from now, with Enjin looking forward to the duel with "Red Cap".
