Summary of That's the Whole Reason

A flashback is shown with Rip meeting the Mirah sisters, asking if they want to go to the beach with him and see the sights. In the present, Fuuko explains to Rip that the only way to defeat Sick is with both his Unrepair and the Artifact Blade Runner, which also means the amputation of Rip's legs. Having a day before the next wave appears, Rip decides to spend the night with with Leila and Latla at the beach, aware that neither he will ever be able to be enjoy their simple, current lives again, with Rip admitting he's been trying his hardest "not to change". Latla then states that if he's going to change, she will too. As the three of them enjoy the beach, Rip notes how their lives have been, with the two of them fighting while Leila would stop them. Afterwards, Rip states he's going to save everyone, whether it's God or an UMA, because its why he became a doctor. Fuuko then alerts Rip and Latla of Sick, and as the three race back, Rip has amputation marks on his legs, ready for his "final operation" as a normal doctor.
