Summary of Don't Think, Feel

As Fuuko has everyone take Phil and retreat, Phil questions why they are saving him, when leaving him would be the most logical choice. Fuuko explains that it would be "too sad", much to the boy's confusion. Eventually, they manage to find a secure room to hide in, but one of "them" manages to get in just as it's head is sliced off by the door, before dying shortly after. Fuuko guesses it was because it took a hit from her Bad Bullet, and the fact its still here and not fading means "them" are actual aliens, not Juniors of an UMA. As Fuuko, Nico, and Creed try and figure out the aliens' weaknesses, Phil asks Sean what being sad means, and the boy explains he has had issue understanding and expressing emotions, but still wants to learn. Sean explains the saddest thing to him was the passing of his father, due to never being able to see him again. They eventually find Phil's mother, who is being attacked by the aliens. She begs the Union to leave with Phil, seeing herself as a failure of a mother due to trapping Phil in both space and a robotic shell and taking away the boy's heart. However, Nico furiously lambasts Phil's mother for wanting to die, causing the aliens to start targeting him. This causes him to realize that the aliens react to agitation. Phil then hacks one of Nico's Psycho Pods and with Fuuko's help, has the aliens follow after them.
