Summary of Gunfight

Billy explains the conditions for Fuuko to win their match, which she sums up as "if I hit him, I win" as she takes off her boots. Though when she asks him if he's being too generous, he replies by saying it's "fair", sending a chill down her spine. As she vows to prevent Billy's tragedy from repeating, a flashback to the 100th loop reveals how the war for Disc went down originally; A bitter, manifested Creed reveals that Disc had been stolen, leaving behind the participants of the war for dead. As he continuously fires at Tella and Billy, Billy is about to give up hope when he notices his gun has now reloaded, just like Creed's ability. His Unfair ability now manifested, he uses his marksmanship skills to jam Creed's Gatling gun before going to face him. Later at his wife and child's gravesite, he is approached by Juiz, who wants him to join her Union, and asks him what his ability is. He responds by explaining that he can't stand other people suffering, much like how his wife and daughter were taken in an accident, and joins the Union. He then lies what his powers are, as "if it can help achieve [his] goals, [he'll] fabricate anything and everything". However, Billy doesn't want to put the younger Negators of the Union in danger, and he opts to steal the Roundtable, copy everyone's powers, and fight God in their stead. As such, as Billy works to build up his image in the Union for that "promised day", he, Tella, and Creed work to create Under to fight God. In the present, Fuuko notes that his own kindness is ultimately detrimental to everyone, and as the war has changed significantly from before, he may not even become Unfair anymore, but she doesn't mind, so long as she can save him. As she declares her intent to negate his kindness- that sense of what's "fair", it turns out that Fuuko had used "Nostalgia Bullet" on Disc with her bare feet due to what happened in the last loop, and passed it to Nico, who is shoeless. As Disc begins to fall, Billy is kept in place by Void as everyone else begins to flee. It then turns out that Fuuko was still there, and Billy is left confused at how her allies are "abandoning" her. However, hearing her allies trust in her causes him to flash back to a memory of when he was with his wife and child, telling him to have faith in others. Witnessing this "strength of spirit" causes him to manifest Unfair, but the conditions to copy are now different. As the narration reveals, instead of a Negator needing to see Billy as an enemy, he must acknowledge the Negator's own strength. As Billy is unable to draw due to copying Undraw, he is defeated when Fuuko nicks him on his left shoulder, all while stating that they don't seek strength for their own sake. By supporting one another, they keep things "fair", by believing in the possibilities.
