Summary of Metamorfall (変化の秋 (メタモルフォール))

The operation begins on a rainy night, and Fuuko gets herself bitten to become a book, and then sends Gina to her memories using the Soul Caliber Artifact. In a flashback, Fuuko reveals to Gina what happened in the previous loop, and the fact she killed her. As Gina is sent back into the 100th loop, Nico and Ichico use the chaff to protect themselves. Now back to the 100th loop where they first met, Gina blushes over how young the 66 year old Gina looked. She then wonders why, despite being happy together, they would kill each other. Eventually, the events of the Gina Arc play out, and she realizes that Fuuko and 100th Gina loved the same man, Andy. Afterwards, 101st Gina meets the ghost of 100th Gina in the bar Fuuko and Andy were at, and despite some initial misgiving the 100th had for Fuuko, as she sees Fuuko as romantic rival, 100th relents and gives 101st the knowledge to properly control Unchange when she sees that the jacket 101st wears is her own, now seeing her as a friend. She states that the way to control Unchange is with the heart. With this knowledge, 101st leaves the book and now has the power to properly use Unchange, saving Nico and Ichico from Autumn.
